Becoming a BCLT Resident
One of the most common questions we get asked is how to get a home through BCLT.
With 12 homes developed by BCLT at our Fishponds Road scheme, all of which are home to the intentional community that have been on this journey with us over the years, relets and sales do not come up too often.
What if a home does become available at Fishponds Road?
There are occasions when our residents circumstances change and they move on. To qualify to apply for a BCLT home, the following criteria must be met:
Shared Ownership homes
- Be a BCLT member
- Household income of less than £80,000 per annum
- Unable to afford to buy a home on the open market
- Meet financial affordability criteria
Rental homes
- Be a BCLT member
- Meet the housing need of the home
- Be registered, and have a live account, on Bristol City Council HomeChoice/MyBristolHousing
We always notify members, by email, in advance of advertising homes that become available with as much information as possible e.g. date that it will be advertised etc.
BCLT does not operate a waiting list.
